Assessment 

Students are constantly being assessed throughout their dance classes through the forms of observation and feedback given by myself, the student, and peers, exit slips, formal assessments, etcetera.  Below are some forms of assessments my students and I have used in the dance classroom.  There is also a link to an example of a Student Growth Objective (SGOs) assessment I conducted with my mixed level dancers at North Plainfield High School.

Formative Assessments:

Below are some examples of formative assessments I have used to inform my teaching practice.  These formative assessments illuminate concepts students understand and concepts that need to be revisited or delivered in another form.  

Summative Assessments:

Below are some examples of summative assessments given at the end of a unit.   Summative assessments vary in terms of performance exams, projects, and written assignments.
