Becky Visintainer graduated from Rutgers University with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and a Masters in Dance Education PK-12. She spent a year abroad studying at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, UK. Becky has had the opportunity to perform works by many accomplished choreographers both at home and abroad including Keith Thompson, John Evans, Kim Gibilisco, David Parker of The Bang Group, Sumi Clements of Summation Dance, Lizzie Kew-Ross, Valerie Preston Dunlop, and Cleo Mack to name a few. Currently she is a company member and social media director for NJ based dance company Rock Dance Collective.

 

Becky is a dance educator in New Jersey directing the dance department at North Plainfield High School and teaching at Washington Rock Dance Studio.  She is also a Part-Time Lecturer for Rutgers Graduate School of Education, instructing a course for the Dance Education Program. She is certified in ABT's National Training Curriculum Pre-Primary through Level 3. She is also a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and holds Yin Yoga and Ayurveda Yoga certificates.

 

Becky is active within the larger dance community serving on and writing interdisciplinary lessons for NJPAC's Teacher Resource Committee. She has also served as an adjudicator for the NHSDA Scholarship and has participated in NDEO's Mentorship program as a new-teacher mentor.
